Through hermeneutic phenomenological analysis of data from creative therapy dog visits, we examined the lived experiences of participating fifth graders and their teacher. The study shows three aspects of these visits: therapeutic, learning through connection, and joy.
This project is a collaboration with the 9/11 Museum and Memorial, Bronx Community College/CUNY, and 4 secondary social studies teachers (NYC public schools) who will attend professional development sessions.
