About me
Dr. Jerry Rivera-Wilson serves as the Director of Professional Learning and Special Programs in the School of Education at the University at Albany and is the Director of the Academy for the Advancement of Teaching, Leadership, and Schools (AATLAS). She is the Co-Chair of the 2026 HyFlex Collaborative Conference. With more than 30 years of experience spanning P–12 and higher education, Jerry has served as a classroom teacher, teacher educator, instructional leader, and professional development specialist. Throughout her career, she has worked collaboratively with schools, districts, institutions of higher education, and educational organizations to advance innovative teaching, leadership, and educator preparation.
Her professional interests include HyFlex learning, artificial intelligence in education, instructional innovation, educational leadership, workforce development, and the design of transformative professional learning experiences that bridge research and practice. She has led numerous statewide and national initiatives focused on helping educators create engaging, accessible, and learner-centered environments.
Jerry is passionate about bringing people together to exchange ideas, challenge conventional thinking, and build meaningful partnerships that improve teaching and learning. She believes the most impactful conferences are those that inspire curiosity, foster collaboration, and empower participants to leave with practical ideas they can implement immediately. As Co-Chair of HCC26, she is delighted to welcome educators, researchers, instructional designers, and innovators from around the world to continue advancing HyFlex teaching and learning.
