Dr. Caitlin Riegel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Daemen University and previous program coordinator for online graduate elementary and secondary education programs at two institutions. As the current president of the
International Society for Educational Planning (ISEP), Dr. Riegel led the organization in hosting its 2024 conference in South Africa. She is also the East Regional Representative on the Board of Directors for the
Association for Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education (AILACTE) and serves as a Guest Editor for the
AILACTE Journal. Dr. Riegel serves on the review board for several journals, including the
Journal of Research on Technology in Education (JRTE). On the
Fulbright Specialist roster, she looks forward to collaborating with national and international colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives related to teacher education and educational technology. Her research interests are focused on quality teacher preparation in an age of increased change and opportunity, effectively leveraging technology and expanding access to her own Open Educational Resource, the
Teacher Preparation Technology Inventory (TPTI), and navigating AI implementation in education with a focus on the knowledge, use, perception, and concerns.
